Finally Friday

I was asked to make a cake for a friend's baby shower (because I have sooo much spare time on my hands???)  Of course I couldn't say no but I definitely simplified the design.  I think it took me longer to clean up my kitchen from all the sticky fondant and icing sugar than it did to actually decorate the cake!

All Play and No Work

I Wish!  We have been busy canning cherries, peaches and raspberries.  Picking saskatoons for pies and it looks like my crab apple trees are loaded this year and almost ready for harvesting. Love juicing the apples to make hot apple cider when the weather gets chilly.  So before I jump into that project I thought I would work on getting a few more pages done in my address book.  It has been a great project to use up some odds & ends & scraps -Take a look...

All Work and No Play

It has been super busy the last couple weeks (although my house doesn't look like it has received any of my attention!).  Last night I decided there should be some creative time in my schedule (house cleaning still wasn't a priority).  Here are a couple of pages I completed for my address book.

Summer Sweet Summer

Everything is in full bloom and apparently a cool haven for Black Cat to hide out in during the hot hours of the day...  He has quite the little nest in there.  He also managed to scare the silly out of me as I wasn't aware of his secret hiding spot when I was weeding in there last night.

Help Me...please

More projects from me box...now I know why I had left some of these projects dragging.  I just don't what I should do to "wow" these little ornaments up a bit - any suggestions would be welcome.  I made them with the idea to hang from garland or from tree.  The large square is natural cotton and then they are double sided with a printed little fabric scene.  I used jute string to hang them.  I was thinking maybe some glitter might help... I will pick a name from the suggestions / comments and send a surprise. Woo Hoo!
